Warner Bros. Japan LLC announced today that the film "THE MUMMY" will be available for digital purchase and rental starting July 3, 2026 (Fri).

This film is a chilling "cursed site" mystery horror, a collaboration between James Wan, the director of the horror film masterpiece "The Conjuring" series, Blumhouse, the horror studio producer of "M3GAN," and Warner Bros., the studio behind "WEAPONS."

This dream team, a must-see for horror fans, produced the film with director Lee Cronin of "Evil Dead Rise." It recorded the No. 1 opening among films released on the same day in the U.S. on April 17, 2026, and ranked third in weekend box office revenue, following the mega-hits "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" and "Project Hail Mary."

Based on the world's oldest urban legend, the curse of the Egyptian mummy, this film intertwines numerous mysteries and horrors linked to Egyptian customs and legends as it unravels the truth behind a girl's disappearance. You are sure to be drawn into a world of terror from the very beginning!

Charlie (Jack Reynor), a journalist stationed in Egypt, has his young daughter Katie abducted and vanish without a trace in the desert.
