The Textile Circular Network (TC-Net), in collaboration with Katsushika Ward, donated staff uniforms to be worn at the 'National Green and Flower Fair Katsushika' and held a presentation ceremony at the Katsushika Ward Office on Friday, April 24, 2026. The outer fabric of the donated uniforms uses approximately 38% recycled raw materials derived from scraps generated during the manufacturing process of polyester raw materials and products, effectively utilizing waste that would otherwise be discarded. A total of 200 uniforms were provided to the secretariat and executive committee. By having staff wear them during the fair, the initiative aims to communicate the concepts of resource circulation and the circular economy to visitors. TC-Net is promoting 'fiber-to-fiber' initiatives to reuse discarded clothing as new textile raw materials in partnership with Katsushika Ward. Recognizing that combustible waste contains many textile products, Katsushika Ward is promoting resource circulation to recycle used clothing into textile products as much as possible, having signed an agreement with TC-Net in fiscal year 2022. This uniform donation is part of that collaborative effort, aiming to spread the idea of 'clothing-to-clothing' resource circulation through an event visited by many citizens.
