The Platinum Vision Network (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Hiroshi Komiyama) is inviting applications for initiatives that contribute to solving social issues, regional revitalization, and the creation of a sustainable society.

To date, the network has honored advanced cases that realize a 'Platinum Society' in various regions through themes such as resource utilization, decarbonization, healthy longevity, education, industrial promotion, and community formation. This year again, we are broadly seeking ambitious efforts aimed at achieving a Platinum Society. We welcome active applications from all over the country, whether self-nominated or recommended by others.

- What is the Platinum Award? It honors initiatives by municipalities and companies nationwide that embody or have the potential to embody a 'Platinum Society' by solving social or regional issues through the creation of new industries via innovation or creative measures.

- Application Period: Monday, May 25, 2026 – Friday, July 17, 2026, by 5:00 PM JST.

- Eligibility: Members of the Platinum Vision Network.

- How to Apply: Please check the application guidelines and send the application form. Information is also available on our website.

- Award Details: Grand Prize: 3 cases (Grand Prize, Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award; 1 each) Excellence Award: Approx. 7 cases Platinum Challenging Award: Up to 2 cases Chairman's Special Award / Encouragement Award: Approx. 10 cases in total

- Schedule: September 9 (Wednesday): First Screening (Document Review) November 5 (Thursday): Final Presentation and Award Ceremony Venue: Jiji Press Hall *Online viewing available for those other than speakers.

About the Platinum Vision Network The Platinum Vision Network is a general incorporated association (established in August 2010, acquired legal personality in January 2022) aiming for a sustainable and prosperous 'Platinum Society.' Chairman Hiroshi Komiyama, former President of the University of Tokyo and Chairman of Mitsubishi Research Institute, leads the network, which includes more than 220 municipalities and 180 corporations as members.
