The 31st annual 'Summer Vacation Children's Chemistry Experiment Show 2026' will be held at the Science Museum in Tokyo on August 1-2, 2026. Hosted by the 'Dream/Chemistry-21' Committee, the free event aims to spark children's interest in chemistry through hands-on experiences. 16 programs will be offered, divided into 'Experiment Experience Events' led by chemical companies and 'Stage Events' featuring quiz shows by educators. Activities include creating light-curing resin art and making bath bombs with baking soda, perfect for summer independent research. New this year, all programs require advance reservation, with booking opening on July 1 at noon. Participants can reserve up to two experiments per child. While the event is free, the venue's permanent exhibition requires an admission fee.
