Event Overview Event Name: YOU.FO Japan Challenge 2026 Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026 Venue: Higashin Arena / Sumida City General Gymnasium Organizer: General Incorporated Association YOU.FO Japan Number of Participating Teams: 10 teams Participants: Approximately 50 players
Tournament Features This tournament was held as an event where participants ranging from those experiencing YOU.FO for the first time to experienced players who have been continuously engaged in the sport could participate. In the morning, a beginner's workshop was held to confirm basic throws, catches, and rules. In the afternoon, matches were played, with participants calling out to each other.
To enable first-time participants to play in matches on the same day, experienced players joined teams as support players to assist with play and understanding the rules. This created a tournament design where beginners could participate with peace of mind.
Furthermore, participants ranging from elementary school students in their third grade to people in their 60s, with different ages and competitive experiences, played on the same court. This provided an opportunity to showcase YOU.FO's characteristic of enjoying sports across generations.
On the day, players from various sports communities, including Quadball, FootGolf, and Lacrosse, also participated. Participants with different competitive experiences gathered in the same place through YOU.FO, and by playing while utilizing their respective experiences, new interactions were born.
World's First Official Event 'Ring Rally' Implemented In this tournament, in addition to the 3-on-3 YOU.FO Ringcross format, the new event 'Ring Rally' was implemented as the world's first official competition event.
Ring Rally is an event where pairs of two compete to see how many passes they can connect within a 3-minute time limit. A successful catch earns 2 points, and even if the catch is unsuccessful, if the thrown ring hits the partner's stick, it earns 1 point.
It is a competition format that focuses on passing accuracy, catching, and team coordination, and its characteristic is that it does not rely too much on running ability or physical strength, making it easy for even first-timers to have a successful experience.

Association Comment The sight of elementary school students to people in their 60s playing together on the same court, calling out to each other, reaffirmed the potential of YOU.FO for intergenerational exchange.
Furthermore, the Ring Rally, implemented as the world's first official competition event, is a new format that can convey the fun of passing, catching, and teamwork to more people.
Moving forward, we will continue to work on the popularization of YOU.FO from both the perspective of its development as a sport and the creation of an accessible sports environment for everyone.
