The Ama Town Tourism Association has opened a new guest house, 'UMINOIE YUTAKA,' in Ama Town, Oki District, Shimane Prefecture. 'UMINOIE YUTAKA' is a facility reborn from the former 'Fishing House Yutaka,' which was long cherished by anglers, carrying forward the predecessor's vision of 'creating memories and dreams.' This project marks the tourism association's first venture into private lodging. Instead of relying solely on ready-made products, the staff worked together to create the interior, decorations, and layout by hand. The facility aims to be a place where visitors feel like returning home. While preserving the wooden fixtures and traces of the predecessor's craftsmanship, the space has been renovated to allow families and friends to enjoy time by the sea. With the recent increase in tourism demand in Ama Town, the shortage of accommodation has become a challenge, and 'UMINOIE YUTAKA' represents a new challenge to preserve a beloved local establishment for the future.
