The Room Stylist Association® (Representative Director: Sakura Mitsui; Directors: Ayako Imamura, Naori Toya) held the 15th-anniversary event, 'Room Stylist Reborn: Connecting Feelings, Drawing the Future,' on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the Restaurant SAKURA on the 3rd floor of the Hotel Gracery Ginza.
Despite concerns about transportation disruptions due to a typhoon, 46 participants gathered from across the country. The event brought together Room Stylist instructors, professionals, and various guests from organizations and companies involved in housing and lifestyle, reflecting on their 15-year journey and sharing aspirations for the future.
Kazuyoshi Sawa, Representative Director of the Housekeeping Association (a non-profit organization), attended as the guest of honor. Other attendees included representatives from the Photo Organizing Association and RoomClip's Housing Culture Research Institute.
Special guest and world-renowned illustrator Jun Iida hosted a special talk session themed, 'Rooms Become Stories with Art.' Attendees were also gifted original tote bags featuring art specially commissioned for the 15th anniversary.
Since launching its certification program in 2011, the Room Stylist Association has been guided by the philosophy of 'increasing the number of people who love their own rooms.' The theme 'Reborn' expresses their determination to continue spreading the value of 'well-being' through housing and to take on new challenges for the future.
15 Years of 'Increasing People Who Love Their Rooms'
The Room Stylist certification program began in 2011.
Driven by the goal of 'increasing the number of people who love their own rooms,' the association has aimed to promote room creation that reflects one's true sense of comfort, moving beyond passing trends or conventional wisdom.
In recent years, due to the spread of remote work and changing lifestyles, housing has become increasingly important not just as a place to live, but as a foundation for life—encompassing working, learning, resting, and enjoying.
The Room Stylist Association considers creating living environments that support a 'well-being lifestyle' a key social theme and is dedicated to spreading the value of housing where everyone can live comfortably in their own way.
Well-being, in our view, is not just about a tidy room; it is a state where the mind, body, and individuality circulate comfortably. We believe the living space is the foundation of this state.
We focus on training and supporting 'Room Stylist Pros' who can listen to client concerns and advise them on how to achieve their ideal living environment.
