The Japan Optimized Nutritional Food Association (Chairman: Yutaka Ito) held a seminar on 'Optimized Nutritional Food' at the Spring Council of the Future Farmers of Japan (FFJ) on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
At the FFJ spring council, the association delivered a presentation to 136 attendees, including 58 students representing agricultural high schools nationwide, 49 advisors, and 29 guests from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education. The seminar explained 'Optimized Nutritional Food' and highlighted the 'food and nutrition' challenges faced by high school students.
The lecture addressed current social issues related to 'nutrition and health.' It raised concerns about the disruption of nutritional balance caused by the end of school lunches after junior high school and restrictive dieting, which is particularly notable among young women. It also presented the realities of modern societal issues such as obesity, frailty, and 'hidden nutritional deficiency in women,' and introduced how 'Optimized Nutritional Food,' with its 33 appropriately adjusted nutrients, can help solve these problems. The students listened intently to the reality that a loss of nutritional balance in their teens can have a significant impact on future health, such as lower bone density and increased susceptibility to osteoporosis.
After the lecture, the NPO 'Future Carrier Support Organization,' which supports FFJ activities, distributed original FFJ T-shirts featuring the association's logo. Students wore these shirts during the event, further deepening their interest in 'Optimized Nutritional Food' through the logo.
To support the resolution of various nutritional challenges, the association will continue to develop promotion activities for 'Optimized Nutritional Food' through industry-academia-medical collaboration.
