[Rinku Hanabi] "By our own hands, not leaving it to the government." Thoughts on the citizen fireworks celebrating its 10th event in 15 years

The 10th iteration of the Rinku Hanabi will light up the night sky on June 6, 2026, marking 15 years since its revival. Leaders from three citizen-led fireworks organizations in Osaka gathered to discuss their struggles and the unique emotion these events bring, which professional event organizers cannot replicate. Relying on local passion rather than government funding, they aim to pass down this tradition to the next generation. Tickets are currently on sale for the upcoming event featuring 7,000 fireworks.
