The M League Organization (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Susumu Fujita) is pleased to announce that the "M League Kids Mahjong Festival 2026" will be held on August 24, 2026, at Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Sankaku Hiroba.
This participatory event aims to provide children from the 1st to 6th grade of elementary school with a fun learning experience and introduction to mahjong as a "mind sport." Building on the "Elementary School Mahjong Tournament" held since 2022, the event was expanded and renamed "Kids Mahjong Festival" in 2025. This year, in addition to tournament-style matches, we will offer a variety of attractions for families to enjoy, including one-game matches with M League players, mahjong classes, and festival booths.
Admission is free for elementary school students and younger. This is a great opportunity for children to experience the appeal of mahjong through interaction with M League players during their summer vacation. We encourage families to come and join us.
Furthermore, we will be conducting a crowdfunding campaign to support the "M League Kids Mahjong Festival 2026." We sincerely ask for your warm support to make this event a reality and nurture the future of mahjong. Please check the special website for details.
