Ikiiki Social Action Project Wins Peatix Community Award 2026 Social Good Award

On May 27, 2026, General Incorporated Association nosson's 'Ikiiki Social Action Project,' co-run with NPO Hidaka Wanowa-kai, won the Social Good Community Award at the 'Peatix Community Awards 2026' held at SCC Sendagaya Community Center. Selected from over 250 applicants, the project was recognized as one of 33 awardees across 11 categories.

The project addresses regional aging and urban stress by building mutual support between Kochi Prefecture's Hidaka Village and urban areas. Under a comprehensive partnership with Hidaka Village and Kochi University, nosson and Hidaka Wanowa-kai leverage local and urban challenges to revitalize communities.

Currently, the initiative focuses on cultivating Tosa Hassho beans, developing local food products, and offering corporate cross-border programs combining farm work, workshops, and interaction with residents. Moving forward, the project plans to integrate circular village initiatives, such as converting agricultural waste into fertilizer, to expand its sustainable community network and foster 'ikigai' through cross-border collaboration.
