SKINLABO conducted a survey of 300 people who are considering or have undergone dark spot treatment. The results showed that 47.0% (141 respondents) identified 'care aimed at preventing recurrence' as the most desired post-treatment service. Furthermore, while 42.7% (128 respondents) prioritized the quick removal of visible spots, the findings highlight a significant demand for long-term skin health and maintenance beyond the initial procedure.
When asked about their primary goals for clinic-based treatment, the most common response was 'wanting to remove visible spots quickly' (42.7%). This was followed by 'wanting to achieve skin that is resistant to new spots' (19.7%) and 'wanting to correctly identify the type of spots' (13.7%). Other responses included uncertainty about the best treatment (11.0%), wanting to improve overall skin tone (9.3%), and preferring low-irritation treatments (3.7%).
These results indicate that while patients want quick results, they also value professional guidance on treatment selection and post-treatment skin condition. Regarding post-treatment care, 47.0% sought recurrence prevention, while 22.0% felt no additional care was needed, and 15.7% wanted to consult on overall skin dullness and texture improvement.
This underscores that patients are increasingly focused not just on the procedure itself, but on the long-term outcomes and how to maintain healthy skin after treatment.
