A daughter dreaming of marrying her beloved, and a mother who wants her to marry into money. Set in the idyllic countryside, a great commotion unfolds over the daughter's marriage in "La Fille Mal Gardée" (The Wayward Daughter). Choreographed by Frederick Ashton, one of the leading British choreographers of the 20th century, this piece immediately enjoyed a long run when it premiered at the Royal Ballet in 1960. In Japan, it was added to the Asami Maki Ballet's repertoire in 1991, creating new ballet fans with every performance.

When you think of ballet, "Swan Lake," "The Nutcracker," and "The Sleeping Beauty" come to mind, but for a first-time ballet experience, "La Fille Mal Gardée" is highly recommended due to its story unfolding with the unique theatrical expression of the UK. From the opening scene where chickens dance with light steps, the "intimidating" image of ballet instantly vanishes, and numerous famous scenes filled with laughter and emotion will surely lighten the hearts of many.

Please also look forward to the appealing casting, starring immensely popular principal dancers Chiharu Kiyotaki and Koya Okawa, alongside many dancers in their debut roles.
