The general incorporated foundation SOWT (Social Value Co-creation Farm) will hold the first 'SOWT Cafe' on Tuesday, June 9, at the community space 'benten103' (Naka-ku, Yokohama). The event aims to create a space where people interested in social issues and local communities can meet experienced peers and generate new ideas. The theme for this inaugural event is 'Middle-Seniors: How to live and work from now on?' Over the past three years, we have engaged 300 participants in 'Yokohama Positive Aging.' We have realized that when middle-seniors over 50 discover new social roles—whether by working in local organizations or starting their own ventures—it not only contributes to their own health and sense of purpose but also helps solve regional issues. The booklet 'Local Life Shift' features role models of such lifestyles. To commemorate the completion of this booklet, we have invited Shizuka Kuwahara, representative of BABA lab in Saitama City, who is featured in the publication, to join us.
