In recent years, ASEAN has seen increasing integration in political, economic, and socio-cultural aspects, leading to an expanded international presence. By providing promising officials from the ASEAN Secretariat and other related organizations with opportunities to learn about Japan's policies, systems, and positions in light of current international affairs, this program aims to strengthen the functions of the ASEAN Secretariat through capacity building for these officials. Furthermore, by strengthening the network between Japan and ASEAN and supporting those who learn about Japan, the project seeks to enhance mutual trust and promote smooth cooperation with Japan in the future.
