The Kabu no Tora Organizing Committee's Future Finance Research Department will hold the event "Kabu Tora Cup ~Season 5~" from July 1, 2026 (Wed) to December 30, 2026 (Wed), with the aim of improving financial and economic literacy among students. Entries are currently being accepted, and participants can join at any time during the competition period.

The Kabu Tora Cup aims to foster interest in corporate activities and broaden students' perspectives by learning about the mechanisms of society and the economy through a trading simulation using actual stock prices.

For Season 5, the competition rules have been revised to allow participants more flexibility. Previously, participants selected 4 stocks each month. This season, the rules have been updated to allow participants to freely select 1 to 6 stocks during the entire period and trade them at their preferred timing. This enables participants to engage with the competition at their own pace, analyze market trends and corporate information, and consider trading timing, allowing them to learn in a way that closely resembles actual investment.

About the Kabu no Tora Organizing Committee Future Finance Research Department "Financial and Economic Education Project Aiming for 10,000 Students Nationwide"

The Kabu no Tora Organizing Committee's Future Finance Research Department was formed in April 2022 in response to the start of financial education classes in high school home economics. Its purpose is to provide a "learning space" by creating content that university students can use in classes and club activities for junior high and high school students. Currently, it has branches in 34 universities nationwide and is operated mainly by university students. They also hold the "Kabu Tora Cup" as a "testing ground" for what students have learned.

As part of this initiative, to help students learn about listed companies, they request cooperation from approximately 4,000 listed companies nationwide to create free interview reports. They began interviews in the Tokai region in August 2022 and have now expanded to the Kanto and Kansai regions. To date, over 150 companies, including Toyota Motor Corporation, ASICS Corporation, and Rinnai Corporation, have cooperated, providing students with opportunities to understand businesses.
