Sole Sponsorship of the 'PRI 20th Anniversary Symposium'

Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Asset Management Co., Ltd. (President: Takahiro Kobayashi; hereinafter 'SMTAM') is pleased to announce that it will participate as the sole sponsoring company for the 'PRI 20th Anniversary Symposium' to be held on May 18, 2026, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). SMTAM's President will also speak as a panelist.

The PRI will mark its 20th anniversary on April 27, 2026. To celebrate this milestone, the PRI is organizing commemorative events worldwide. At this symposium scheduled in Tokyo, SMTAM will serve as the sole sponsor. Leaders in responsible investment will gather to discuss the future of responsible investment under a changing global economy, while reflecting on the development of responsible investment in Japan and the PRI's 20-year journey.

SMTAM has been a signatory since the PRI's launch in 2006, and this sole sponsorship reaffirm's our commitment to the Principles for Responsible Investment. Through this sponsorship, we aim to contribute to the further promotion of responsible investment in Japan and globally, while proceeding with initiatives that contribute to maintaining and improving clients' medium- to long-term investment returns and solving social issues.
