Mitsubishi Electric Digital Innovation Corporation will launch the cloud-based attendance management system "koiki" on Thursday, June 11th.

With the enforcement of the Work Style Reform Act, companies are required to manage working hours appropriately, but for SMEs, operational complexity has become a challenge. Furthermore, attendance management systems that enable strict working hour management can be costly and may take about a year to become operational, posing an introduction hurdle.

Based on this background, we have leveraged our experience and knowledge gained from providing comprehensive HR and general affairs total systems for over 20 years to develop the cloud-based attendance management system "koiki."

This product focuses on essential functions such as "management of long working hours," "management of diverse and flexible work styles," and "management of non-regular employees," realizing functions and pricing that are easy for SMEs to operate. In addition, the intuitive user interface (UI) and the consolidation of application procedures contribute to the efficiency of labor management operations. Our unique technology is adopted for this UI, and this technology has been patented. The implementation period is from a few days to about one month, and concierges with extensive knowledge of attendance management will support the introduction.

In addition to our HR and general affairs total system "ALIVE SOLUTION" provided for large corporations, we will expand "koiki" for SMEs, supporting the IT adoption of attendance management for SMEs and contributing to the creation of a healthier labor environment.

Concept

The cloud-based attendance management system "koiki" thoroughly eliminates complexity and pursues a sophisticated operability that anyone can intuitively use. It aims to be a system that users feel "want to use" for daily operations, not just an administrative tool. Named "koiki" with affection, it embodies the refined and sophisticated aesthetic sense represented by the word "iki" (chic/stylish). The screen adopts a "Japanese Modern" theme color scheme, and includes a clock-in function that allows users to select designs based on their mood for the day. It elevates the often-obligatory task of time entry into a proactive clock-in experience, bringing new value to daily attendance management.

Features of the New Product

Improved Awareness through Visualization of Attendance Information

"koiki" consolidates important attendance-related information that employees should check daily onto the home screen, enabling intuitive situational understanding. By visualizing attendance status, it supports employees' increased awareness of attendance management and operation in compliance with laws and regulations, contributing to sound business activities. The home screen calendar allows for an overview of application status and error information, contributing to accurate and prompt attendance management operations.

Selectable Clock-in Screen Designs

Unlike conventional uniform clock-in screens, we offer designs such as a "bubble screen" and a screen compatible with flick input. Leveraging the intuitive operation unique to smartphones and our patented proprietary technology, we provide a new clock-in experience. It balances ease of use, reliability, and a sense of accomplishment, allowing for smooth one-handed operation regardless of location or situation.

Intuitive UI and Batch Application Function

We have adopted a simple and easy-to-understand screen layout so that anyone can operate it without confusion. The intuitive UI reduces training costs and daily operational burdens. Furthermore, multiple applications such as leave requests and changes to work/break times can be processed collectively from a single screen, shortening the work time for both applicants and approvers and contributing to operational efficiency.

Special Trial Campaign

Normally, the free trial period is one month. However, as a special campaign, if you start a trial between the release date and the end of August 2026, you can use the free trial until the end of September.

Future Plans and Outlook

We will continue to expand peripheral functions in the HR and labor domain and strengthen cooperation with external services, evolving "koiki" into an operational foundation that supports the back-office operations of SMEs. Furthermore, we are considering expansion into the well-being domain, focusing on the health and peace of mind of workers, and will strive for continuous functional improvement and service value enhancement.
