Eligibility: Residents, employees, or those with ties to Fukui Prefecture (e.g., origin). No age restrictions.
*Those who have won the first prize in the past are not eligible.
Target Works: Original, unpublished short stories, biographies, and fairy tales.
Format: Horizontal A4, vertical writing, 40 characters per line, 33 lines per page, approx. 10 to 30 pages. Submission via data only; handwritten manuscripts are not accepted. Generative AI may be used for auxiliary tasks like editing or brainstorming, provided the specific methods and locations of use are stated in a postscript. Works deemed largely created by AI will be disqualified. Submission of the process, including prompts and generation results, may be required. Violations can lead to disqualification even after the award is decided.
Submission: Submit via the entry form with required details. Works are accepted in Word or similar formats. Include title, name (and pen name), age, date of birth, postal code, address (include address in Fukui if residing outside the prefecture), phone number, email, and occupation (school name/grade). Announcement: Winners notified in October and published in Nikkan Kenmin Fukui.
Publication: Top entries will be published in Nikkan Kenmin Fukui starting late December. Minor editing for clarity is possible.
