Tankyu Distillery in Higashikawa, Hokkaido, has officially commenced its whisky operations. The distillery released 1,500 limited edition bottles of 'Single Malt New Pot' (2,970 JPY) and opened recruitment for the 'Private Cask Program 2026.' Led by Head Distiller David Hsieh, who has extensive experience in Scotland, the distillery utilizes pristine underground water from Mt. Asahi. The cask program offers four varieties, including premium Mizunara and Sherry casks, with prices starting from 448,000 JPY.
