Sendai City to Host 'TOHOKU DX GATEWAY 2026,' Tohoku's Largest DX Exhibition for Municipalities, on Oct 20; Exhibitors and Sponsors Wanted by June 30

Sendai City will host 'TOHOKU DX GATEWAY 2026,' a digital transformation (DX) exhibition for local governments, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the Sendai International Center. The event aims to accelerate DX across the Tohoku region and deepen interactions between municipalities and private companies.

In preparation for this year's event, the city is recruiting companies interested in booth exhibitions and sponsorships.

Attracting many government officials from across Japan, primarily from the Tohoku area, this event provides opportunities for officials to discover DX-driven solutions to local issues, while offering private companies a platform for business expansion.

In particular, the 'Joint Exhibition Booths'—where solution providers and adopting municipalities exhibit together—have been well-received. These booths allow visitors to hear directly about the implementation process, making it easier for exhibitors to engage with potential clients.

Last year, the event saw a record-breaking turnout of approximately 670 government officials. This year's program will feature DX exhibitions covering a wide range of fields, including administrative services, disaster prevention, education, healthcare, welfare, and internal operational reforms, alongside various lectures and talk sessions.
