The Kodomo no Hattatsu Kagaku Kenkyujo (Public Interest Incorporated Association) (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka) will hold a free seminar and consultation session in Tokyo on August 4, themed "Key Points to Prevent Bullying Escalation." The target audience has been expanded from municipal government departments, boards of education, and local government officials nationwide to include school personnel, and a workshop format has been incorporated to make the content more easily applicable in educational settings. This is a valuable learning opportunity unique to in-person events. As there will be no archived video distribution, please attend in person.

"Bullying Case Study" Workshop by Director and Chief Researcher Wakuta to be Held

This institute, commissioned by the Agency for Children and Families, has been working since fiscal year 2023 to build a system for resolving bullying through approaches from outside schools, such as by municipal government departments.

This seminar will provide a detailed explanation of how to utilize the "Manual for Introducing a Bullying Resolution System in Municipal Government Departments," which summarizes the achievements up to last year. Additionally, based on the "Notes on Preventing Bullying Escalation" and "Case Studies for Training" created by the Agency for Children and Families and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and for which this institute conducted investigation and analysis of serious incidents, we will practically explore how organizations should respond and ensure safety before situations escalate.

In the workshop led by the institute's Director and Chief Researcher, Manabu Wakuta, specific cases will be examined using worksheets from the "Case Studies for Training." Wakuta will lecture on "How to respond to bullying incidents" based on his extensive knowledge.

Participant Slots Expanded to "School Personnel, Supporters," etc.

In response to the inclusion of content that can be immediately applied in the field, the target audience has been expanded from municipal government departments and local government officials to include educators and those involved in supporting children and students. We hope you will utilize the knowledge gained from this seminar in your respective fields.

Furthermore, individual consultation sessions will be held after the seminar. We will provide advice on specific concerns, so please consider attending.
