The Hyogo Block Council of the Japan Junior Chamber West Japan Region (Chairperson: Takashi Nakashima, located at 43 Shimotera-cho, Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture) will co-host the event "HYOGO Grand Campaign! Save the Earth's Tomorrow Festival! ~Family Future Challenge with JOY through Connections~" on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with the City of Tatsuno and the Nishi-Harima Junior Chamber.
This event aims to promote awareness and action toward achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 through enjoyable, hands-on experiences that encourage eco-friendly practices at home.
The venue will feature environmental experience booths, rain art workshops, cap shooter crafting, "SpoGOMI" (sports + trash collection), displays of working vehicles (fire trucks, police cars, Self-Defense Forces vehicles, electric vehicles, etc.), food trucks, and stage performances including dance and traditional Japanese taiko drumming.
A digital stamp rally will also be introduced, allowing participants to learn about environmental issues as they visit each booth, with commemorative gifts awarded upon completion.
The event is designed so that people of all ages—from children to adults—can enjoy a full day of activities and realize that environmental action isn't difficult, but something they can start doing today. The target attendance is 1,500 people.
● Planning Background
In recent years, abnormal weather caused by global warming has become increasingly severe worldwide. While Japan is advancing efforts toward achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, there are still insufficient mechanisms and opportunities to translate these goals into concrete household actions.
Therefore, this initiative is designed to use "fun" as an entry point, encouraging families to think about, experience, and take home practical eco-actions they can implement at home.
The goal is to spark a ripple effect—small individual actions spreading across the community and contributing to a sustainable future.

About the Junior Chamber (West Japan Regional Council)
The Junior Chamber (abbreviated as "JC") was founded in 1949 (Showa 24) by young people who shared the vision that "rebuilding a new Japan is the work of youth," at a time when the scars of war ran deep in both cities and people's hearts.
Since then, the Junior Chamber has pursued its mission of "realizing a bright and prosperous society" through diverse activities and movements. Its membership consists of individuals who join freely, regardless of race, nationality, gender, occupation, or religion. The Japan Junior Chamber's core principles are "personal development," "service to society," and "friendship with the world." Members engage in mutual enlightenment and exchange, cultivate public spirit, and actively contribute to societal development through collaboration with local communities, tackling social challenges proactively. Through various practical training experiences, members—both current and alumni who graduate upon turning 40—have become leaders in their communities and have produced many influential figures in politics and business.
The Japan Junior Chamber West Japan Regional Council operates across two urban prefectures and four provinces in the Kansai region, serving as a coordination body to support smooth operations of local Junior Chambers while promoting various initiatives throughout the region.
