Peace Boat Disaster Relief Center was established in April 2011, following the Great East Japan Earthquake, with the philosophy that 'only people can help people.' Since its inception, the center has focused its activities on 'domestic and international disaster relief' and 'disaster prevention and mitigation efforts.' To date, it has provided disaster relief support in 31 countries overseas and 87 regions within Japan, coordinating over 110,000 volunteers. Based on this extensive experience, the center continuously undertakes various disaster prevention and mitigation initiatives during non-emergency periods.
