Free Seminar on Mail Order/EC Supported by Tokyo Metropolitan Government

'Tsuuhan/EC no Manabiba' (Learning Place for Mail Order/EC) is part of Tokyo's project to support sales channel development through media utilization. It is a free seminar that provides basic knowledge, product planning, PR methods, and corporate case studies for SMEs in Tokyo that are starting new mail-order businesses or aiming to restart and review their existing ones. A total of four seminars with different themes are planned throughout the year.

The first session for this fiscal year, themed 'First Steps in Mail Order: Basics and Strategic Design,' will be held on June 2, 2026 (Tuesday) at Akiba Plaza in Akihabara. This is a great opportunity for Tokyo businesses looking to expand sales channels using mail order and e-commerce.

'Anything Mail Order Individual Consultation' Held on the Same Day

On the same day, a free 40-minute individual consultation session will be held for seminar participants. Experts will answer any questions regarding mail-order business, such as how to increase sales, how to improve brand awareness without a large advertising budget, or where to start for a new launch.

<Seminar Overview> Part 1 (10:00-11:00): 'Overview of Mail Order and Challenges Surrounding the Industry' Covers recent market changes, essential laws (Special Commercial Transactions Act), and basic knowledge. Lecturer: Chihiro Miura, Secretary General of JADMA.

Part 2 (11:10-12:10): 'First Steps for Success in Mail Order/EC' Provides easy-to-understand concepts on identifying product characteristics and optimizing sales channels. Lecturer: Fumiko Naruse, Representative of On Your Side (SME Management Consultant).

<Individual Consultation Overview> Experts will address specific questions from 13:10 to 17:00 (approx. 40 mins per company).
