The New Japan Philharmonic will present a special concert titled "Orchestra Railway Museum" on August 18, 2026, at Sumida Triphony Hall, featuring serious performances of station melodies and classical masterpieces depicting the movement of locomotives. With the clear message of a "serious concert for all train enthusiasts," the program elevates the charm of railway culture through music, including Honegger's "Pacific 231" and the station melody of Tobu Railway's Ikebukuro Station. Conducted by Munetoshi Matsumoto, with production and piano by Seiji Honda, the event will feature guests Yusuke Minamida and Bun-So Choi. Special exhibits, such as intricate models, are also planned to enhance the experience.
