The Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) has launched a new video content series on its RIKUJO Fan Club platform, focusing on athletes' daily lives rather than competition-only highlights. Series 1 spotlights competitors aiming for the 110th Japan Athletics Championships and the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Episode 1 featured women's long jumper Sumire Hata (Sumitomo Electric), Episode 2 featured men's discus thrower Masateru Yugami (Toyota), and Episode 3 — the Series 1 finale — features men's 100m sprinter Ryota Yamagata (Seiko), who seeks to deepen his understanding of the 100m sprint. Full episodes are exclusive to paid RIKUJO Fan Club members (annual fee: 2,200 yen incl. tax) at fan.pia.jp/rikujo-fc/, while edited versions are freely available on the official JAAF YouTube. Paid members can also enter to win a Yamagata-signed JAPAN ring notebook (3 winners; deadline: June 19, 23:59). Series 2 will profile athletes already selected for the Asian Games, including race walker Toshikazu Yamanishi and marathoner Mikuni Yada.
