Part 1: Case Study Presentation "Why KDDI x EON English Training Delivers Results - Comprehensive Explanation!"

We will unravel the background and challenges that led to the introduction of English training at KDDI.
We will explain the concept and design of business-connected programs and the reasons for selecting GCAS.

Marina Kubo
KDDI Corporation, Corporate Headquarters, Human Resources Department, Talent Development Department, Talent Management Promotion Group
Joined KDDI Corporation in April 2020. At the Human Resources Department, Talent Development Department, she has experience in various HR fields including recruitment and talent development. She has been involved in strategies directly related to people's growth, such as serving as an instructor for new employee training, planning and operating specialized skill and core skill training, and English proficiency improvement programs. Currently, she is mainly involved in the planning and operation of KDDI DX University (KDU), as well as the introduction of a new talent management system and the design of career and talent management strategies aligned with HR strategies.
Ryo Kubota
EON Corporation, Corporate Business Department, Corporate Training Coordinator
After joining EON Corporation as an instructor, he gained experience as the head of school affairs before becoming a corporate English training coordinator, designing training for many companies and schools. Utilizing his experience of learning English domestically without studying abroad, he gives lectures on business communication, English learning method seminars, and English teaching method seminars as an instructor.
What is GCAS®?
GCAS (J-CAS)※ is a speaking test specialized in global business, developed and operated by the Japan English Test Foundation. Through tasks that are directly applicable to business, such as presentations, negotiations, and role-plays, it comprehensively evaluates the ability to "communicate in English," "explain logically," and "interact with others."
It is measured from multiple perspectives, including expressiveness and logicality, in accordance with CEFR (CEFR). As a tool for evaluating the quality of human resource development and visualizing training results, its introduction to many companies is progressing.
