Ahead of the rainy season and typhoon period, Hyogo Prefecture has designated June as the 'Month to Protect Rich Villages from Disasters' to prevent disasters in agricultural and mountain villages.
As part of public awareness efforts for local residents, the prefecture conducts patrols using publicity vehicles, posts information in various public relations magazines, displays banners, distributes posters, and carries out inspections of dangerous locations by patrol teams, as well as providing disaster prevention guidance to facility managers and guidance on preventing reservoir drowning accidents.
This time, the Hanshinkita Prefectural Bureau, in collaboration with the prefecture, municipalities, and related organizations, will conduct patrols focusing on reservoirs and mountain hazard areas as key inspection points.
