[Supported by Sagamihara City] General Clinic with 80,000 Annual Patients Sees Huge Turnout for Medical Experience Event!

Itsumo General Clinic (Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture) held a career experience event for children on May 30th, supported by Sagamihara City and co-hosted with Aeon Sagamihara. During the three-hour event, approximately 350 parents and children attended, with tickets running out early and about 50 families unable to participate, reflecting a response that far exceeded expectations. The event was planned as an opportunity for children to realistically experience the work of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. The background to the event lies in the clinic director's desire to 'engage more deeply with the community' on the occasion of the clinic's 8th anniversary. Director Kyoichi Yamamura commented, 'I realized the high level of interest in medicine. We plan to review the scale and operational structure to continue contributing to the local community.' The clinic is a community-based medical institution that handles a wide range of departments including internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and dermatology, and offers services without holidays and with night-time consultations.
