Women's University Offers First-Ever Free Examination Fee for University Common Test Application

Jumonji University (Niiza City, Saitama Prefecture, President: Kazutoshi Adachi) is aiming to ensure受験機会 (opportunities to take exams) and expand options for higher education amid concerns that some students are limiting the number of universities they apply to due to the recent rise in prices. For the first time as a women's university, Jumonji University will waive the examination fee for applications utilizing the University Common Test starting with the 2026 admissions selection.

Key Points of This Initiative

First among private women's universities to offer free examination fees for University Common Test applications.

No need to apply concurrently with general admissions; applicants can apply solely through the Common Test selection.

Supports reducing the financial burden on applicants and expanding opportunities for higher education.

This free system is planned to continue for the 2027 admissions selection as well.

The University Common Test selection requires different preparation and strategies than general admissions. Applicants are working hard until the end to demonstrate the results of their learning accumulated throughout their high school years. At our university, we want to support these applicants' challenges and reduce, even slightly, the situation where "despite their hard work, financial circumstances force them to limit their examination opportunities."

Previously, the examination fee for our University Common Test selection was 15,000 yen. However, starting with the 2026 admissions selection, we have implemented a complete fee waiver.

Application System Designed for Ease of Use

Anyone who has taken the University Common Test can apply for our University Common Test selection. This offers the following benefits to applicants:

1. No need for simultaneous application with general admissions (single application possible)

There are no restrictions such as requiring simultaneous application with general admissions; applicants can apply solely for this selection.

2. No individual academic ability test (reduced burden)

Our university does not conduct its own individual academic ability test, allowing applicants to increase their examination opportunities without the burden of preparing for a new test or traveling to a test venue.

3. Application possible after self-scoring

A major feature of this system is that applicants can consider applying after reviewing their self-scoring results from the University Common Test. Applicants can broaden their choices for higher education after confirming their Common Test results.
