Chiba Institute of Technology (Chairman: Shu Setokuma) and Oita Prefectural Kunisaki High School (Kunisaki City, Oita Prefecture / Principal: Hideaki Yabe) held a signing ceremony on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Kunisaki High School to formalize a comprehensive collaboration agreement.

Through this agreement, Chiba Institute of Technology will provide advanced educational opportunities by leveraging its specialized knowledge and research infrastructure. This collaboration aims to deepen high school students’ understanding of and interest in space and engineering fields, ultimately nurturing future talent to support the industrial development of Oita Prefecture and the Kyushu region.

Kunisaki High School offers diverse academic pathways within its general, agricultural, and industrial departments, including IT, space, and environmental civil engineering. Located in Kunisaki, a region rich in history and designated as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System, the school fosters cutting-edge, collaborative learning that empowers students to become future leaders capable of supporting local, national, and global sustainable development.
