The agricultural park 'Awaji Farm Park England Hill' (operated by Minamiawaji Agricultural Park Co., Ltd.), which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, has reached peak bloom in its rose garden (110 species, approximately 680 bushes).

Additionally, as part of a national koala breeding plan, public display of 'Komachi' (9-year-old female), a northern-type koala who arrived from Tokyo's Tama Zoological Park, began on May 14, 2026.

Furthermore, starting May 23, the park will hold the 'Onion Sports Festival 2026' for four days to promote Awaji Island's specialty onions.

[Rose Garden Peak Bloom] The rose garden, located in front of the restaurant in the England area, spans approximately 1,500 square meters and features 110 species and about 680 bushes. Blooming progressed rapidly from around May 10, and it is currently at its best. Visitors can enjoy it through mid-June.

[Koala 'Komachi' Public Debut] 'Komachi' is a 9-year-old female born at the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya. She arrived from Tama Zoological Park for the breeding project and, after a quarantine period, has been on display since May 14. The park currently breeds a total of 7 koalas: 2 southern-type and 5 northern-type.

[Onion Sports Festival 2026] Dates: May 23, 24, 30, and 31. Activities include a loud-voice contest, onion fishing, target shooting, kendama challenges, onion stuffing competitions, and serving onion slices with roast beef.
