The Toride GP Organizing Committee is preparing for the 'TORIDE GP 2026 Fujishiro Demo Run,' scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event will be held on prefectural public roads and the plaza in front of the North Exit of JR Jōban Line's Fujishiro Station, combining motorsports, music, food, and regional exchange into an urban-style event. Tickets are currently on early sale via the Pia ticketing website.
The Toride GP Organizing Committee plans to host the public-road motorsports event 'TORIDE GP 2026 Fujishiro Demo Run' in the Toride City Fujishiro district. The venue includes prefectural roads and the station plaza near the North Exit of JR Jōban Line's Fujishiro Station. Leveraging the public accessibility, convenience, and open atmosphere unique to urban station areas, the committee is developing a new event in close collaboration with the local community.
Toride GP aims to enhance the appeal of Fujishiro and Toride while creating vibrancy through cooperation with local residents, neighborhood associations, and relevant organizations.
The Fujishiro-Toride area has historically developed as a post town along the Mito Kaido highway and has long served as a transportation hub with constant foot traffic. By hosting a modern urban motorsports event in this historically rich town, the committee aims to create new regional value.
On October 3, 2026, the event will offer free public access from 10:00 to 14:00, featuring public road displays and various performances. The North Exit plaza of Fujishiro Station will be used innovatively as a paddock area and VIP lounge for racing cars—an unprecedented concept—allowing visitors to experience vehicles and the event atmosphere up close. The venue will also feature Carbon Champagne, formerly served in F1, food offerings by chefs from Ibaraki Prefecture, and souvenir merchandise sales.
Additionally, at 12:00, various attractions including appearances and photo sessions with idol groups will take place.
17:00s TWILIGHT PROGRAM
From 17:15 onward, a public road concert is scheduled on the same plaza, featuring performances by Private Ebisu Academy and others who will also appear at the grid walk opening ceremony, further promoting the appeal of music and food alongside motorsports.

17:00s TWILIGHT PROGRAM
From 14:00 onward, the event will feature a grid walk, opening ceremony, demo run, and demonstration runs by racing cars. For the driving performance, the committee plans to implement a Safety Car-led program, where all vehicles complete one synchronized lap, followed by individual demo runs by each car.
Although the lineup may change, the event plans to feature dozens of supercars and GT vehicles, including the F40, F1 Tyrrell, F3000 (1991), F4, GT3 cars, GT3 endurance race cars, and GT4 vehicles.
SRO JAPAN CUP GT3 Hitotsuyama Racing Team
The event aims to deliver a unique, immersive experience—only possible on the main public street in front of the station—by enabling simultaneous 1km runs of multiple classic legendary cars from motorsports' golden era alongside modern racing machines, a rare occurrence in Japan.
Additionally, toward the end of the demo run, the committee is considering supplementary programs such as drift performances on public roads by professional drivers, aiming to showcase the high technical skill and excitement of motorsports. Please note that the program may change due to safety or operational considerations.
Tickets are currently on early sale via Pia at a discounted price compared to regular sale. VIP PASS tickets are nearly sold out, while PADDOCK PASS, REGULAR PASS, and general admission tickets remain available.
REGULAR PASS holders can enter the grid walk area, allowing them to experience the event's atmosphere from a closer vantage point.
Furthermore, starting August 1, 2026, regular sales will begin for general admission tickets priced at 300 yen for those under 18 and 1,000 yen for students aged 18 and over (including university students). With pricing designed to be accessible and appealing to younger generations, the event aims to be open and inclusive for all age groups.
McLaren 720 GT3
This event will be held with sponsorship from Ibaraki Prefecture and cooperation from Toride City and the Toride City Chamber of Commerce. Moving forward, the committee will prioritize safety and operational preparedness, nurturing the event as a regional initiative that promotes local appeal, increases visitor numbers, and contributes to tourism development. In the long term, the goal is to transform Fujishiro and Toride from 'cities to visit' into 'cities where people want to stay,' expanding into accommodations and related industries.
Toride GP views this initiative as a crucial practical opportunity to explore the future possibility of holding public road races with gasoline-powered vehicles. The committee recognizes that verifying smooth operations, safety measures, audience flow, community coordination, and sound environment on public roads is essential for future development.
The committee acknowledges that without sufficient confirmation of smooth operations and harmony with the local community, future development toward public road races with gasoline-powered vehicles will be difficult. Therefore, this event aims to gradually verify feasible models for public road motorsports that coexist with the community, building an operational framework for future expansion.
