The "Not Just Cute!? Pingu Exhibition" will open tomorrow, July 10 (Sat), at the new exhibition space "YURAKUCHO MUSEUM" born in Yurakucho, Tokyo. We reveal the exhibition space where you can experience Pingu's diverse charm through seeing, touching, and playing, along with photos from the venue.
The exhibition begins with an introduction to Pingu. Through character introductions and the history of the works, you can experience the charm of Pingu, which continues to be loved worldwide. Also on display are precious clay models and production materials actually used in animation production. You can get a glimpse of the delicate expressions unique to stop-motion animation and the behind-the-scenes of the production process.
The next area features interactive exhibits focusing on Pingu's rich expressions, unique poses, and the "Pingu language" that mysteriously conveys feelings, all under the theme of "Not Just Cute!?" Please discover Pingu's new charms while playing as if you were challenging a game.
In the final area, a giant Pingu balloon will greet you. We have prepared playful content, including collaborative works with miniature photographer and "mitate" artist Tatsuya Tanaka, and the "Pingu Dance" for visitors to dance together. You can fully enjoy the world of Pingu with excitement until the very end.
After enjoying the exhibition, visit the shop offering original exhibition goods themed around "Not Just Cute!?" Pingu. Be sure to find your favorite Pingu among the items available only here.
