Yuki Shimizu Publishes Debut Book 'Curry as Liberal Arts'; Event on July 13

Yuki Shimizu, representative of Tokyo Masala Laboratory (PhD student at Kyoto University), has published 'Curry as Liberal Arts' (Shueisha, released June 5, 2026). The book is not a recipe book, but aims to change how we see the world through the inquiry of curry.

To commemorate the publication, a dialogue event will be held on July 13, 2026, at Book & Beer in Shimokitazawa. The event will feature Rei Nagai, a philosophical dialogue practitioner, to discuss eating, cooking, playing, and care through curry.
