TSUNAGU LLC (Representative: Yumiko Mizuno, Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) was responsible for and conducted a business skill acquisition training using Microsoft Power Platform for employees with disabilities as part of the "Career Plus Program®" launched by Docomo PlusHearty Inc. (Head Office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo, President: Masako Moto) in October 2024.
Our company's business pillars are providing training services specializing in reskilling for people with disabilities and employment support focused on human resource development. In addition to continuing training at Docomo PlusHearty, we will now fully expand the provision of training programs in the IT, DX, and AI fields to special subsidiary companies and companies hiring people with disabilities.
Background and Challenges
The statutory employment rate for people with disabilities in private companies was raised from 2.3% to 2.5% in April 2024, with a further increase to 2.7% scheduled for July 2026. In response to this phased increase, corporate interest in the hiring and retention of people with disabilities is higher than ever.
However, the reality is that many companies have yet to solve the challenges of "expanding the scope of activities" and "improving the business skills" of their employees with disabilities.
In special subsidiary companies, in addition to traditional tasks such as data entry, cleaning, and light manual work, there is an expectation for participation in more advanced tasks due to the wave of DX and IT. However, training providers with the know-how to systematically teach IT skills while considering the specific characteristics of disabilities are limited, and many companies require external support.

Direct Application to Work: The curriculum is structured based on actual workplace tasks so that participants can use their skills in their jobs after the training. 3. Continuous Retention Support: We provide support from skill acquisition to follow-up, including post-training support. 4. Online Availability: Flexible training formats can be chosen according to the participants' work environment.

Planned training fields include Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Generative AI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and cybersecurity.
Social Significance
While the quantitative expansion of disability employment in Japan continues, the qualitative challenges of post-employment job-scope expansion and career development remain. By providing opportunities for people with disabilities to learn essential modern business skills in IT, DX, and AI at their own pace, we contribute to the sustainable promotion of their active participation, going beyond just "hiring and done."
