Announcement of Recruitment for "Regional Revitalization Cooperators"
The Regional Creation Department, General Affairs and Prefectural Affairs Division of the Ito Promotion Bureau in Wakayama Prefecture is newly recruiting "Regional Revitalization Cooperators" who will discover, edit, and disseminate the charm of the "Koya-San and Foothills Area," which is home to the "World Heritage Site Koyasan."
We are broadly seeking individuals from urban areas across the country to join us in interviewing and documenting the real daily lives of people living in the region, and disseminating this information through the web and social media as a "town worth living in."
This recruitment primarily targets individuals who wish to utilize their experience and skills in various fields in the front lines of regional revitalization and regional branding.
Recruitment Period
July 1, 2026 (Wed) - August 24, 2026 (Mon)
Activity Area and Concept
To capture, shape, and disseminate the "real daily lives" of people living in the "Koya-San and Foothills Area," home to the World Heritage Site Koyasan.
And to transform that into someone's "desire to live here."
By meeting, talking with, and walking alongside local residents and new immigrants, discovering, conveying, and connecting the charms of this town, you will share the role of increasing empathy and admiration for "I want to live here!!" with our staff.
Recruitment Overview (Mission)
The main activities are as follows:
(1) Interviews with new immigrants and local residents and dissemination on note
- Interview people living in the region and those who have newly moved in, and edit their stories.
- Publish articles on web media such as note and disseminate them continuously.
- Suggestions for creative approaches using text, photos, videos, etc., are also welcome.
(2) Disseminate the charm of the Koya-San and Foothills Area on social media
- Operation of social media accounts such as Instagram and Facebook.
- Disseminate information about daily scenery, events, and information for related populations.
- Propose and plan information dissemination using web services and apps.
(3) Build a network to connect new immigrants and local people
- Plan and manage exchange meetings and study sessions to connect new immigrants and local residents.
(4) Implement events to increase "people who continue to be involved (related population)"
- Plan and implement events to increase fans who continuously engage with the Koya-San and Foothills Area.
- Hold relocation consultations, talk events, and online events in urban areas.
Contract Type: Contracted Services (No employment relationship with Wakayama Prefecture)
- Monthly Remuneration: ¥266,000
* National Health Insurance and National Pension premiums are the responsibility of the individual.
- Number of Activity Days per Year: Approximately 192 days
- Guideline: Approx. 16 days/month, 7 hours 45 minutes/day
* The number of days for the first year will be adjusted based on the number of days from the start date of employment to the end of the fiscal year.
Activity Expenses and Support System
- Provision of activity expenses (expenses for activities within the budget, with limits)
