The Naniwa Honzome exhibition aims to promote Sakai's traditional dyeing craft, designated as a national traditional craft. It will be held at Sakai City Hall Main Building 1st Floor Entrance Hall from June 29 to July 3, 2026. The event features sales of Chusen tenugui, yukata, gauze handkerchiefs, and folding fans, alongside displays of Alphones Mucha patterns. Live demonstrations of the "Chusen" dyeing technique by artisans will take place on July 3. Visitors completing a survey will receive a free Wazarashi gift while supplies last. Chusen's unique appeal lies in dyeing from the thread's core, creating vibrant, reversible patterns with beautiful gradations and the warmth of handmade craftsmanship.
