New 'nears Akabane' Share Residence Opening 2 Minutes from JR Akabane Station

Cosmos Initia, a Daiwa House Group company, will open 'nears Akabane' (Akabane-minami, Kita-ku, Tokyo) in late July 2026. This is the fourth installment of its share residence brand, 'nears,' which is based on the concept of 'living with gentle neighbors.'

Originally built as a hotel in 2007 and later converted into a dormitory, the property has been repurposed by leveraging the building's history and character combined with Cosmos Initia's expertise in operating share residences. It offers a new way of life where residents can change their environment and how they spend their time by maximizing the use of shared floors.

Building Regeneration x Share Residence 'nears' The building was previously renovated as a hotel and included features like an atrium lobby, multiple kitchen spaces, a community lounge, a theater room, and a workspace. Cosmos Initia has regenerated these common areas as places where residents can connect gently.

Building Community 'nears' utilizes the online community tool 'station' and regularly holds voluntary participation events.
