Turn Sports Clubs into Community 'Cooling Shelters' During Heatwaves!

NAS Sports Club Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Masami Kuroda), a member of the Daiwa House Group, will implement the 'Extreme Heat Discount' initiative from Saturday, July 18, 2026, to Sunday, August 30, 2026, at its nationwide NAS Sports Club locations. This program offers local residents safe and comfortable 'cooling shelters' in response to the growing risks of heatstroke due to increasingly severe summer heat.

Under this initiative, on days when the Japan Meteorological Agency forecasts a maximum temperature of 35°C or higher for the area where a facility is located—announced after 5:00 PM the previous day—the standard facility trial fee of 1,000 yen (tax included) will be reduced to 350 yen (tax included) (※1).

Today, extreme heat has become a life-threatening social issue. While heatstroke-related emergency transports rise during summer, other challenges such as reduced physical activity due to restricted outdoor movement and increased household utility costs from prolonged air conditioning use are also worsening. In response, NAS will utilize its air-conditioned sports clubs and swimming pools across Japan as community 'cooling shelters.' Equipped with refreshing pools for efficient exercise, comfortable gym areas, and spa facilities, the clubs aim to contribute to local heatstroke prevention and public health.

Overview of the 'Extreme Heat Discount' Campaign

Period: July 18 (Sat), 2026 – August 30 (Sun), 2026

Eligible Days: Days when the Japan Meteorological Agency forecasts a maximum temperature of 35°C or higher (forecast announced after 5:00 PM the previous day)

Eligible Facilities: All NAS Sports Club locations nationwide (excluding Ginza and Shibaura branches)

Trial Fee: 350 yen (normally 1,000 yen), tax included

Available Facilities: Pool, gym, spa facilities, etc.

Note: Ashiharakoen, Nishi-Kasai, Wakabadai, Osaka Dome City, Otsu Ichiriyama, and Hakata branches do not have pool facilities.

Eligible Age: 15 years and older

Usage Limit: One visit per person during the campaign
