Osaki Electric Co., Ltd. has partnered with Kandenko Co., Ltd. to develop software that automatically detects correct or incorrect wiring status during electricity meter installation, now available for contractors.

Subcontractors and panel manufacturers responsible for electricity meter installation can add this software to Kandenko's measurement recording support system 'BLuE' to instantly verify wiring status on a tablet, improving both quality and operational efficiency.

Osaki Electric aims to increase sales of its 'Compact EM' electricity meters (for non-utility customers), which are compatible with 'BLuE', in line with the system's functional expansion.

[Market Background] Electricity meters are installed not only by utility companies but also by building and large-scale commercial facility owners to track tenant electricity usage. Since owners bill tenants based on usage, miswiring at installation prevents accurate billing, creating a need for reliable and efficient installation processes.

[Overview of New Software] Kandenko's 'BLuE' is a tablet application that records measurement device data and allows verification in Excel or PDF formats. Previously, installation records were managed manually after visual inspection. By linking 'BLuE' with Osaki Electric's 'Compact EM', data is automatically reflected, eliminating manual entry errors. The addition of the wiring diagnostic software automates what was previously a visual confirmation, further improving efficiency and installation standardization.

[System Configuration Example] 1. Use a wiring checker to simulate a load on the 'Compact EM' connected to 'BLuE' to verify wiring status. 2. 'BLuE' acquires data from the 'Compact EM' that detected the load, and the diagnostic software instantly determines the wiring status, displaying it on the tablet.
