Osaka Electro-Communication University (OECU, President: Kunishige Shioda) has partnered with Cluster, Inc., operator of Japan's largest metaverse platform 'cluster', to create the 'OECU Meta Campus'. This virtual space serves as the university's 'third campus', following the physical Neyagawa and Shijonawate campuses.

To commemorate the completion, a launch event will be held on Sunday, June 7th, at the Konami Hall on the Shijonawate Campus during the Open Campus. Featured guests include M-1 Grand Prix champion Yusuke Inoue (NON STYLE), influencer Hirona Nagahama, and gaming streamers Takeshi Takada and Fujimiya. The event will offer a hybrid experience across real and virtual venues, promoting a new fusion of education and entertainment.

Key Highlights: - Partnership with Cluster, Inc. to realize a campus in the metaverse. - Launch event featuring celebrity guests during the Open Campus. - Simultaneous activities across real and virtual (metaverse) venues. - Original game collaboration with discount store giant 'Don Quijote' within the metaverse.

Following the renewal of the Department of Digital Games this spring, OECU is providing learning experiences utilizing the metaverse. The space includes recreations of campus landmarks and professional-grade studios, co-created by students and professional creators. Attendees can enjoy educational games alongside the guests. Experience a new frontier of communication that transcends physical space.
