Exhibition 'Gashin - Eigokoro Kasanaru' featuring overlaid illustrations and photos to be held at Shinjuku Kitamura Camera Store from June 10, 2026

Takarazuka University's Media Arts Advanced Education Development Center Tokyo (TMACT) will hold an exhibition titled 'Gashin - Eigokoro Kasanaru,' showcasing works that overlay illustrations and photographs, at the Shinjuku Kitamura Camera Store B1F Basement Gallery. The exhibition will run for 19 days from June 10 (Wed) to June 28 (Sun), 2026, in collaboration with UKIYO Co., Ltd. (HQ: Musashino, Tokyo; CEO: Yutaka Kashiwagi).

What is 'Gashin'? It is a coined term combining 'ga' (picture/illustration) and 'shin' (photograph), aiming to express 'true heart' by layering illustration and photographic elements.

Five creators are participating in this new expressive challenge: Wataru Inada, Ichiso Kujo, Niritsu, Mishikigyo, and refeia. Logo design is supported by Ryo Hiiragi.

About TMACT Takarazuka University's Media Arts Advanced Education Development Center Tokyo (TMACT) is an organization aimed at strengthening and promoting activities ranging from the development and verification of educational programs and curricula to practical implementation and social application related to 'nurturing media arts talent,' which has been the cornerstone of Takarazuka University's Tokyo Shinjuku campus education and research.
