About the Department of Creative Innovation, Faculty of Art and Design
The Department of Creative Innovation was established in April 2019 with the aim of fostering "creative thinking skills" by exploring everything from the discovery of social issues to the proposal of solutions through projects. In the first and second years, based at the Takadanohaba Campus, students develop expression, presentation, discussion, and critical thinking skills through art and design education unique to an art university. From the third year, students move to the Ichigaya Campus and learn design approaches for creating new value and businesses while engaging in co-creation projects with companies and local governments.
