Human Campus High School, operated by Sato Gakuen, will host a hands-on workshop for junior and senior high school students on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at its Akihabara Learning Center. The event will feature Eriko Teranishi, a handicraft expert with over 750 published books. In recent years, 'nui-katsu' (plushie activities), such as making and carrying around plushies of favorite characters, has become a major trend among the younger generation. In response to this, the school is holding this special workshop to showcase the appeal of its unique 'Plushie Major' and 'Knit Major' programs and to share the joy of craftsmanship. The instructor, Eriko Teranishi, previously worked at Sanrio in product planning and design and is now active in various fields including handicrafts, cooking, and crafts. The workshop will feature two programs: 'Mole Doll Making,' which requires no needles or thread, and 'Finger-Knitted Scrunchie Making,' which uses only the fingertips, making it accessible even for beginners.
