Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Co., Ltd. on July 13.
Moving forward, the two parties will collaborate primarily in areas such as enhancing the appeal of station surroundings—starting with Kawanishi-Noseguchi Station—promoting health and wellness-oriented urban development, and creating vibrant communities by leveraging local history and culture.
Details of the Signing Ceremony
The partnership between Kawanishi City and Hankyu Hanshin Holdings began with an invitation to display promotional posters inside the 'SDGs Train: Yume no Machi-go,' a project led by Hankyu Hanshin Holdings scheduled for fiscal year 2025. Since then, both parties have advanced joint initiatives.
The shared vision between Kawanishi City’s urban development goals and social challenge solutions, and Hankyu Hanshin Holdings’ strategic direction, along with the desire to expand collaborative efforts, led to extensive discussions culminating in today’s signing ceremony.
Going forward, the partnership will focus on jointly exploring various initiatives centered on enhancing the appeal of areas around Kawanishi-Noseguchi Station and other key stations.
The agreement includes the following key areas:
(1) Promotion of urban development centered on station areas
(2) Advancement of health and wellness-oriented urban development
(3) Urban development that leverages Kawanishi’s history and culture
(4) Other matters contributing to the objectives of this agreement
