Tokushima Prefecture to Exhibit at 'JAPAN VILLAGE 2026 in PARIS'

At the international cultural exchange event 'JAPAN VILLAGE 2026 in PARIS' starting June 10, Tokushima Prefecture will showcase its traditional Awa Odori dance and Awa Ningyo Joruri puppet theater. The prefecture will also host a booth to promote tourist spots and sell local products. Notably, on June 11 and 12, in collaboration with the 'Grand Sumo Paris Performance' held nearby, a joint performance featuring active sumo wrestlers and Awa Odori is planned. The event will also include Awa Odori workshops and performances of Awa Ningyo Joruri, a nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property, to share the charm of Tokushima with the people of France.
