Summer and Autumn Campaign to Explore Tokoname!

Tokoname City will implement a summer campaign to encourage visitors to explore the city from the airport. On July 18 (Sat) and 19 (Sun), 2026, the '16th Centrair Bon Odori' will be held, during which 1,500 limited-edition 'Tokotan Fans' will be distributed each day. Additionally, a digital stamp rally called 'Smartphone Stamp Rally' will begin on the same dates, allowing participants to tour designated spots within the city using their smartphones. Furthermore, an Instagram-based photo contest titled 'Rinku Twilight Sunset Photo Contest' will also be launched.

First, during the Centrair Bon Odori on July 18 and 19, the special 'Tokotan Fan' will be distributed, limited to 1,500 per day. These fans can be used at the event venue, and the back of each fan features QR codes that provide access to the digital stamp rally and the sunset photo contest, serving as an 'entry point' for participation in these events.

The 'Smartphone Stamp Rally,' starting on July 18, invites participants to visit designated locations such as Chubu Centrair International Airport, AEON Mall Tokoname, the Yaki-mono Walking Path, and Rinku Beach. By scanning QR codes placed at these spots, participants can collect digital stamps. Those who collect a certain number of stamps can enter a lottery to win local specialty products or gift certificates based on the number of stamps collected.

Likewise, the 'Rinku Twilight Sunset Photo Contest,' also starting on July 18, encourages participants to post sunset photos taken within Tokoname City on Instagram with the hashtag '#HappyKamonTokoname2026'. Winners will receive prizes such as gift certificates and Tokoname-yaki teapots. Winning entries will later be announced on the official website and social media channels of the Tokoname Tourism Association and may be used for future tourism promotion.

This summer, visitors are encouraged to extend their stay from the airport into the city of Tokoname, enjoying its historic streets, coastal scenery, and beautiful sunsets while participating in these exciting events.
