The Council for Travel and Learning (Secretariat: ANA Holdings Inc.) officially commenced its 7th term activities with a kickoff event on May 29, 2026.
The council is composed of a secretariat, a board of directors, participating organizations, and individual members. With "Project Planning," "Research," and "Public Relations" as its three main pillars, it has created diverse learning opportunities in collaboration with local governments, educational institutions, and companies nationwide. In its 6th term, the council received high praise from its members for expanding its unique programs domestically and internationally, scientifically verifying the "benefits of travel," and advancing learning with an eye toward AI utilization.
Building on the achievements in program development and scientific evidence cultivated so far, the 7th term will further strengthen industry-government-academia collaboration, with a key focus on the social implementation of "learning through travel." Aiming to establish "travel and learning" more broadly and deeply within daily educational settings, corporate training, and regional revitalization initiatives, the council will promote activities along the following three axes:
1. Social Implementation and Expansion of "Learning Through Travel" Programs
We will practically introduce and disseminate programs that use regional issues and resources as learning subjects to educational institutions, companies, and local governments nationwide, accelerating their further development and establishment both domestically and internationally.
2. Scientifically Verify the Benefits of Travel and Build Evidence for Social Implementation
We will deepen our knowledge of large-scale survey data and technology (such as AI) to visualize and materialize the "learning effects brought about by travel," thereby establishing a reliable standard of value that supports social implementation.
3. Disseminate Council Activities and Expand Co-creation of Communities
To widely promote recognition of the council's activities, their significance, and specific examples of social implementation, we will engage in proactive and effective information dissemination through various media. Furthermore, we will aim to create and expand social impact through the expansion of networks among members.
In the 7th term as well, by leveraging the board members and member network composed of experts from various fields, we will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to combine "travel" and "learning," promoting highly effective actions that unlock "learning potential" for all generations.
